About me

Hi, welcome to my website. I hope you find what you need here; if not why not drop me an email.

I have a background in art, design and crafts; having studied at Chesterfield and then Brighton art colleges before going on to produce artwork commercially.

My workshop is based in the old narrow tape mill next to our house; where I live with my wife Ali and sons Jacob and Oscar. I set it up in 2003 when the opportunity arose; this has allowed my work to develop and projects to grow in size. There is a steel fabricator and blacksmith also on the same site which can be useful neighbours.

My earlier grounding in the arts reflects in some of my furniture and cabinet making. Everything receives a great attention to detail in both design and construction. Design of original and one-off work is something I get great pleasure from, whether it be a whole kitchen or a single piece of furniture. I love the idea of creating functional works of art.

Larger projects can be project-managed; I can draw on the resources of several other trades and professions.

Below is a photograph of my Grandfather, who like his father was a cabinet maker in Bradford. The planes seen in this photograph can now be found in my workshop along with other tools of their trade, alongside modern machinery and tools.
